We were honored to contribute to the historic reconstruction of Vila Muhr, a project where every material tells a story of local heritage and sustainability. To bring the authentic warmth of the Bohinj landscape indoors, the architect’s vision required a floor with unique character and presence.
The selection of our custom flooring was a deliberate and collaborative process. The choice of generous 250mm wide planks provides a stable, expansive foundation that complements the villa’s grand proportions. We used ‘as grown’ Oak, a grading that celebrates the wood’s natural honesty, allowing every knot and grain pattern to tell its own story. The deep, rich HONEY/HONIG 6.1C color echoes the earthy tones of the surrounding forest floor, while our 3D brushed texture creates a tactile surface underfoot, inviting a deeper connection to the natural material.
